Hectic Week

Been absolute chaos this week, first of all we had the Glasgow University Veterinarians Ball at the Glasgow Hilton Hotel, 580 people to photograph (you can see the results on the website). We started at 1630 and finally got to our beds at 0230 the next morning....knackered!!!!
So most of this week has been taken up with a wedding album, orders from the ball and the real time consumer has been getting ready for the big wedding show at the SECC in Glasgow.
We've taken on a 5m x 2m stand so there has been a lot of prep work gone into the setup of the stand. I hope it's been worth it, well we'll soon find out. Off to the SECC this afternoon to spend a few hours intstalling the stand.

Also went 0n a Twitter course last week....as I had no idea what @ and # meant. Just thought they'd tried to e-mail me and it had gone wrong ;-). So I'm going to be trying to do live Twitter, You Tube and blog updates throughout the show.......however I may get too busy and not be able to. Watch this space lol.

Okay thanks for reading the blog and I'm starting to make a real effort now to update these so please come back if I haven't sent you to sleep yet.

GO4 Newsletter

A few of you may of noticed the GO4 i-phone entrance has now been removed from the front page.
This is because when you open the site from your i-phone you'll automatically be taken to an i-phone friendly site, clever huh.

Just got a new wedding show venue in as well, the Shawlands park hotel, details to follow soon.

And very quickly, keep your eye on the GO4 You Tube channel.
More and more slideshow's will start appearing here very shortly.

Cheers,

First Wedding Show of the year.

Happy New Year everyone and that's the first wedding show over.
GO4 were at the Bothwell Bridge Hotel wedding show on Sunday.
I'd just like to say a big thankyou to Eleganza Sposa and the staff at the hotel.
Everything went really well and from our point of view we thought the show was a huge success.
GO4 also signed up some new customers so a big thankyou to you all as well.

We've got a real tough schedule ahead for wedding shows.
Next week we'll be at the Glasgow Girls Wedding Guide show at Pollokshields Burgh Hall.
Then we should have Braehead Arena, with the biggest wedding show the weekend after at the SECC. Our final wedding show of this quarter will be at George Square in Glasgow in March.

This is also the year when the blog is now going to actually be used.

Things Are Getting Busier

So there's a lot happening at the moment and we're really trying to keep on top of everything.
First off we're really excited about a small wedding fayre that we're organising.
For anyone who knows East Kilbride it will be held at the coffee shop at James Hamilton Heritage Park. The shops called Gracies on the Loch and it's a great place for a small event.
More details to follow but we're getting a lot of interest from the right local companies at the moment, and we want the best, most reliable and professional local companies we can find to attend.

Also for any technofiles out there. The website now has it's own iPhone friendly website mirroring the flash site, just click on the main website from your iPhone and check it out.

Lastly, the first couples have now been granted access to their own website creation tools and the feedback thus far seems to be good. So I'll be rolling it out to my other clients shortly. Some really good ideas coming from the customers so can't wait to see what everybody else can do with the tool.

More New Stuff

And the good stuff keeps on coming.
Just created a dedicated GO4 website for I phones.
So if you've got an i-phone, and as we all know you can't use flash applications on them :-( then just click on the website as normal and you'll get a dedicated i-phone site.
Client websites seem to be going down a treat with people so looking forward to seeing what all my customers can create.

New Feature - Your Own Website

Blogging obviously isn't my thing, however just thought Id update the blog as I just wanted people to know about a really cool new feature that I'm giving to all my prospective couples. Their own personal website. They'll have full control over it with their own personal web address to give out to their friends and family.

It could become a really useful tool for the couple to be, they can update wedding plans on there for people to see, get people to post messages, the possobilities are endless.

More info to follow.........(I promise!)

The perils of wedding photography is being so busy that you forget to keep your blog updated.
I'm sure some people will agre with that. Well just finished a really busy period of weddings and thankfully have a couple of quiet weeks to catch up on all the weddings. I've also just re-designed the intro page to the web site, I hope you like it. All comments (good or bad) will be gratefully received. Next issue I'm going to approach is Vimeo. Anyone had any dealings with them? All comments appreciated.
